The Pro Trainer Plus is the world’s only multi-tone behavioral pet trainer. It is a hand held tone generator for training your pet to perform specific behaviors such as “Sit,” “Come” and “Heel.” An irritating negative tone is also provided to stop unwanted behaviors such as clawing, chewing, jumping, etc.
Use of the Pro Trainer Plus is based upon two well know animal training principles. First, as shown by Pavlov in his famous bell experiment, an animal can be taught to associate a particular behavior with a particular sound. Once the association is made, the animal will involuntarily repeat the behavior whenever the sound is heard.
The Pro Trainer Plus gives you three such sounds. They are individual audible tones that can be distinguished by any dog or cat. Each tone is played while the animal is manipulated into performing the behavior. This is followed by a food reward. The animal is taught that the tone means, for example, “sit, and a good thing will happen.” Before long, the animal will sit whenever the tone is played and the reward will become unnecessary because the behavior is now an involuntary, conditioned response.
